What is an EV Ready Zone?

An EV Ready Zone refers to an electric vehicle charging area where users can utilize personal portable chargers based on user preferences and permissions. This concept is similar to the outlets for mobile chargers mentioned in Article 6-2 of the Housing Construction Standards Regulations.

In Korea, new buildings from 2025 must allocate 10% of parking spaces for EV Ready Zones.

These parking spaces can be used by both electric and non-electric vehicles.

No need for relocating vehicles after charging.
